How do I start a chat?

Tap Start Video Chat on any page. There is no profile to fill in first. When the call starts, your browser asks for your camera and microphone — allow both for a video call. Voice chat only needs the microphone.

My camera or microphone isn't working

Usually the permission was declined. Open your browser's site settings for pinkchatlive.com, allow the camera and microphone, and reload the page. Also check that no other app is using the camera.

Can I choose who I talk to?

Yes. Start Video Chat matches you with someone straight away, or you can browse who is online now and pick someone to call.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes, in any current phone browser. You can also add it to your home screen so it opens like an app — see the Pink Chat Live app.

Why can't I tap Next straight away?

Next unlocks after a short countdown at the start of each call. It gives both people a moment to say hello before moving on.

We don't speak the same language

Use the message box inside the call: the other person's messages can be translated with one tap.

How do I end a call?

End it at any time with the end-call button. You don't need to give a reason.

How are calls paid for?

With coins you buy in advance. New accounts get some trial time first; an automatic system that prevents abuse decides how much, so it can differ between accounts.

How much does a call cost?

Each person sets their own price, so there is no single rate. A notice appears just before charging starts, so a call never becomes paid without warning.

Why do I have to sign in to buy coins?

So your balance belongs to your account and stays with you. Card numbers are not stored on Pink Chat Live.

A charge looks wrong

Contact us with the date and the amount, and we'll look into it.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your own account from your account settings. If you can't find the option or something goes wrong, contact us and we'll help.

The app asks me to sign in again on iPhone

That's normal the first time: iPhone keeps a home-screen app's data separate from Safari, so you sign in once more there.

How do I report or block someone?

Use Report or Block in the chat or on the person's profile. Reports are reviewed by people, and blocks are permanent. The Safety Center explains every step.

Are calls recorded?

No. Pink Chat Live does not record calls, and chats are not routinely read — only the part of a conversation that is reported is looked at.
